DIY build of a gantry milling machine with standalone controller and auto tool change

Overview

In 2017 I decided to build a gantry milling machine  - "as rigid as possible" and "as cheap as possible".

Now, two years later, the machine works fine - with the help of Google, the Web and a lot of trial and error.

To serve as a document for myself and to give some tips to other users (especially dealing with the standalone controller DDCSV 1.1/2/3) I decided to write this web site.
