Remarks: |
NGC 3256
belongs to the Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster complex and shows two extended
luminous streamers. It is belived that NGC 3256 is/are in fact two
galaxies in collision or
in a merger encounter like NGC 4038/39
and NGC 520. |

Bemerkungen: |
NGC 3256 gehört zum Hydra-Centaurus Supercluster und zeigt zwei ausgedehnte
"Wimpel". Man nimmt an, dass es sich bei NGC 3256 um zwei Galaxien handelt, die z.Zt.
kollidieren bzw. fusionieren, wie das z.B. in
NGC 4038/39 und
NGC 520 der Fall ist. |
