As Stephan's Quintet Seyfert's Sextet was visualy discovered by the French Astronomer Édouard Stephan (1837-1923). For more information of Seyfert's Sextet see the corresponding Wikipedia entry. An interesting "modern" paper about this compact galaxy group can be found e.g. here. CCDSharp and DDP were used. |

Wie Stephans Quintett wurde auch Seyferts Sextett durch den französischen Astronom Édouard Stephan (1837-1923) entdeckt.
