By moving the mouse over the image an older version of M74 can be blinked. The SN becomes obvious immediately. In addition a dim star above the SN can be detected, which moves rapidly. The white color of the SN is very different to the color the Koop-Team shows: http://astro-kooperation.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/m74-2013_01b.jpg. The reason: SN of type II change their color after the explosion from white (from an A to F to M star) to red and the Koop-Team image was shot some weeks later than ours. |
| Bemerkungen: | Durch Überfahren des Bildes mit dem Mauszeiger kann das obige Bild gegen eine ältere M74-Aufnahme aus Kreta geblinkt werden - die SN offenbart sich dann augenblicklich. Zusätzlich wird ein schwaches Sternchen etwas oberhalb der SN als "Schnellläufer" auffällig. Die weiße Farbe der SN kontrastiert gegen die rötliche Farbe der selben SN auf dem Bild des Koop-Teams: siehe http://astro-kooperation.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/m74-2013_01b.jpg. Der Grund: SN vom Typ II wechseln die Farbe nach der Explosion von weiß (A-Stern über F-Stern zu M-Stern) nach rot. Und die Koop-Team-Aufnahme entstand mehrere Wochen nach dem Bild hier auf der Homepage. |
