Remarks:

NGC 7010 is an elliptical galaxy and a particularly beautiful example of a “multi-shell type,” with its three or four shell structures clearly visible along its longitudinal axis. NGC 7010 is reported to have a diameter of 215,000 light-years, making it significantly larger than our Milky Way.

NGC 7010 ist eine elliptische Galaxie und ein besonders schönes Beispiel für einen „Multi-Shell-Typ“ mit ihren drei bzw. vier Hüllstrukturen, die in Richtung ihrer Längsachse gut erkennbar sind. Als Durchmesser werden für NGC 7010 ganze 215000 Lichtjahre angegeben, damit ist sie deutlich größer als unsere Milchstraße.
