Image shot in Namibia. Astro-Physics 105mm-Refractor Traveler f=600mm. Exposure time 90 min. on Kodak Ektacolor Pro Gold 400 (medium format). North is up.

The most unusual thing about  the dark nebula of this image may be, that it has no "sensible" name. This may be the reason, why it is simply called "Doodad"-Nebula.

Das ungewöhnlichste an der Dunkelwolke auf dem Bild ist wohl, dass sie keine "vernünftige" Bezeichnung hat. Deswegen wird sie schlicht "Doodad"-Nebel genannt, wobei doodad die englische Übersetzung von "das Ding" ist :-) .
