The two images show the satellite group Astra 2A, 2B, 2D and EUTELSAT 2F4. The left image was exposed on September 12th, 2002, the right one on January 8th, 2003 through an Astro-Physics refractor (f=600mm). Exposure times were 390 and 685 minutes on Fuji Velvia 50. The left image demonstrates the eclipse of the satellites by the shadow of the Earth during the autumn equinox. Imaged in Much, Germany.

Verfinsterung der Satellitenspuren durch den Erdschatten um das
