Exposure time: 10% of 3500 video frames for each Mars, averaged with GIOTTO
Exposure date: Starting with the upper right, CCW: July 20th (02:05UT), August 2nd (01:40UT), 10th (00:50UT), 16th (00:08UT), 29th (00:10UT), 29th (21:50UT) and September, 1st (20:30UT)
Location: Mars 1..4: Much (Germany), Mars 5..7: Capella Observatory at Amani Lodge, Kupferberg near Windhoek, Namibia
Filter: wide band red filter
Instrument: Mars 1..4: 4" Astrophysics Refractor, Mars 5..7: Ganymed 60cm-Hypergraph in secondary focus, f=4800 mm
Seeing (FWHM): 1.5"..3"

Remarks: Even if the 4"-instrument images of Mars are okay, you can see the difference in place (in Namibia Mars was in zenith) and telescope size. So: size does matter ;-)
   
Bemerkungen: Obwohl die Marsbilder am 4"-Instrument recht gut sind, sind die Unterschiede bzgl. des Aufnahmestandortes (Mars stand in Namibia bei den Aufnahmen im Zenit) und der Teleskopgröße recht deutlich. Es kommt also doch auf die Größe an ;-)
