Remarks:

Abel 85, also known as CTB 1, a big super nova remnant, was originally cataloged as a planetary nebula by George Abell but it soon became obvious, that it is an SNR.

In 2019 a pulsar was dicovered which was identified as the remnant of the super nova explosion. More details can be found here.

Bemerkungen:

Abell 85, auch bekannt als CTB 1, ein großer Supernova-Überrest (SNR) wurde ursprünglich von George Abell als Planetarischer Nebel katalogisiert. Es wurde aber schnell klar, dass es sich um einen SNR handelte.

Erst im Jahr 2019 wurde ein Pulsar Entdeckt, der als Überbleibsel der Supernove-Explosion identifiziert wurde. Näheres hierzu hier.
