Du 1 was discovered in August 18th, /19th 2011 by the French Astronomer Pascal Le Du (see here). The exposures for the above image were done less than a month later and probably the image above is the first color image of this presumptive PN. For your orientation: the brightest star in the filed is SAO 33568. The red dot right to Du1 is K3-83 = PK 094-0.1 = PN G 094.5-00.8. This PN was discovered in 1972 by L. Kohoutek. It's optical diameter is quoted to be 6". A 200% scale of a crop around this little PN can be found below. |

Du 1 wurde am 18./19. August 2011 von dem Franzosen Pascal Le Du entdeckt (siehe z.B. hier) . Die Aufnahme oben entstand keinen Monat später und ist wohl die erste Farbaufnahme dieses vermutlichen PNs. Zur Orientierung: Der hellste Stern im Feld ist SAO 33568. Der helle rote Fleck rechts neben Du1 is K3-83 = PK 094-0.1 = PN G 094.5-00.8. Dieser PN wurde 1972 von L.Kohoutek entdeckt. Der optische Durchmesser wird mit 6“ angegeben. Eine Bildausschnitt um diesen kleinen PN in 200% Größe ist unten zu sehen. |
