Remarks: |
The image above shows (at least in parts) one of the first images, shot with a not very common CCD-camera. This is a 7kx4k CCD camera from OES with a resolution of 7x1024 x 4x1024 pixels, which means 28 (!) mega pixels in total. Each of these pixels has a dimension of 12µ² resulting in an active area which is as big as the biggest side of a cigarette box. The filter slider for this camera is a self made version which proofed best. Unfortunately the efficiency of the chip (which originally was produced for the use in medical devices) lacked far behind our expectations. Some QE diagrams showed that the QE of the chip was more or less comparable to a SBIG STL 11000, but this did not turn out to be correct - the efficiency of the chip is only about ⅓ of the STL 11000 and as a result not very useful for deep sky imaging. For the central part of the image above a "normal" image of a ST10 was used (see image below), which was done nearly exact one year before. The reason was the moderate seeing in may 2005, which was "jazed up" a bit in this way. Image processed with CCDSharp and DDP.

Bemerkungen:
|
