The surface of NGC
6744 is one of the biggest - if not the biggest - of those
barred spirals in the sky. An image of the same galaxy but with only about 1/5 of the focal lenght, done 20 years later with Rhea, can be found here. |

NGC 6744 ist flächenmäßig eine der größten, wenn nicht sogar die
größte Balkenspirale am Himmel. Ein Bild der selben Galaxie, aber mit lediglich 1/5 der Brennweite, das 20 Jahre später mit Rhea entstand, ist hier zu finden. |
