Remarks: |
Located at the center of the picture is the rather faint and structureless
galaxy PGC 40869. Unfortunately, there is only vew information about this
galaxy, which in our opinion, may also be the rest of a tidal tail of
one of the surrounding galaxies or an intergalactic cloud. If it is a dwarft
galaxy,l it is unlikely that it belongs to the Hercules cluster. May be a professional astronomer will have
a look with bigger equipment?! The other four large galaxies are from top left CW NGC 4442, NGC 4417, NGC 4424 and NGC 4445. All belong to the Hercules cluster but are rarely photographed, probably because of their inconspicuity and their "competition" with Markarian's Chain. |

Bemerkungen: |
