| Image Type, Orientation: | Ha-RGB Composite, North is up. Primary focus image, for Ha a 2x1 secondary focus mosaic was added. |
| Exposure time: | For primary focus image: Ha: 6x60 sec. 1x1 bin, R,G,B: 3x60 sec. 2x2 bin. For secondary focus: Ha: 10x180 sec. 1x1 bin for each of the 2 mosaic images. |
| Exposure date: | For primary focus: September 13th, 2004. For secondary focus: May, 22nd, 2004. |
| Location: | Capella Observatory at Amani Lodge, Kupferberg near Windhoek, Namibia. |
| Filter: | FR03 + Astronomik Typ II HaRGB filters. |
| Instrument: | Ganymed 60cm-Hypergraph in primary focus, f=1800 mm combined with secundary focus 2x1 image mosaic (f=4800 mm) for the center. |
| Seeing (FWHM): | 2.9" (may be affected by the wasted heat of the not yet water-cooled CCD camera) for the primary focus exposures, 2.1" for the secondary focus exposures. |

The primary focus image of M8 was shot directly after installing the primary focus corrector lenses without any adjustements. Image processed with CCDSharp and DDP. |
