Remarks:

The appearance of the dark nebula in the constellation Eagle is reminiscent of a Chinese character. Interstellar dust blocks the light from thousands of stars in the Milky Way. This play of shadows forms this beautiful dark nebula. In some places, young stars can be seen in their formation. The light from these young stars is scattered by the dust of the dark nebula, forming small reflection nebulae. The reflection nebula GN 19.18.0 is clearly visible in the upper part of the nebula and the Herbig Haro object HH32 further down.

 

 

Bemerkungen:

Der Dunkelnebel im Sternbild Adler erinnert vom Aussehen an ein chinesisches Schriftzeichen. Interstellarer Staub blockiert das Licht tausender Sterne der Milchstraße. Dieses Schattenspiel formt diesen schönen Nebel. An einigen Stellen zeigen sich junge Sterne in ihrer Entstehung. Das Licht dieser jungen Sterne wird am Staub des Dunkelnebels gestreut und formt kleine Reflexionsnebel. Im oberen Teil des Nebels gut sichtbare der Reflexionsnebel GN 19.18.0 und weiter unten das Herbig Haro Objekt HH32
