Remarks:

About half a degree northwest of the star Sadr lies an inconspicuous H II region, listed in Beverly Lynd’s catalog of bright nebulae as LBN 236. In wide-field images of this region, you can spot many small dark nebulae that somewhat resemble droplets of magma. These dark nebulae are extremely opaque, appearing pitch black at their centers in our image. Are new stars already forming within these clouds? At least visually, there’s no way to confirm this, and there’s very little literature available on this nebula region.

Etwa ein halbes Grad nordwestlich des Sterns Sadr befindet sich eine unscheinbare H-II-Region, die im Katalog heller Nebel von Beverly Lynd als LBN 236 verzeichnet ist. In dieser Region erkennt man auf Übersichtsaufnahmen viele kleine Dunkelnebel, die ein wenig an Magmatropfen erinnern. Diese Dunkelnebel sind extrem lichtundurchlässig und erscheinen in ihren Zentren auf unserer Aufnahme pechschwarz. Ob sich in diesen Wolken bereits neue Sterne bilden? Zumindest optisch lässt sich das nicht nachweisen, und auch in der Literatur findet man zu dieser Nebelregion nur sehr wenig.
